Recipe! Pizza alla Batcave
Welcome
Today I brought a recipe almost unknown from Italian culture called "PIZZA" and also another fabulous way to eat it. I hope you all like it and that you can do it to share as we did in these last days of Carnival.
I know, I know, this post looks like a @lanfranco´s one 😒 but in english, this is due to we prepare the recipe together and both of us wanted to post it, so we agreed that he would post it in spanish and me on this language, with this clear 😁 Let´s begin!
Ingredients for the sauce:
- 4 kg of Mature Tomatoes.
- 1 Garlic Head
- 6 Tablespoons of Oil.
- 2 Tablespoons of Salt.
- 1 Teaspoon of Sugar.
- Oregano to taste.
Preparation
First we take the tomatoes and boil then for 40 minutes. Then let the tomatoes cool, peel and liquefy them, but not too much because this sauce must have small pieces of tomato, so we can feel then on the pizza. Then in a pot pour the oil and the crushed garlic. When the garlic is golden, pour our liquefied tomatoes and cook for 1 hour, adding the salt, sugar and oregano in the process.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 1 kg Wheat flour.
- 1 tablespoon of salt.
- 3 Tablespoons of Melted Butter.
- 50 gr of Instant Yeast.
- 2 Tablespoons of Sugar.
- 300 ml of Water.
Preparation
In a medium container place the yeast and add half a cup of warm water, with the 2 tablespoons of sugar and let stand for 10 minutes. Then in another large container pour the flour, salt, butter and yeast, stir the mixture, then knead adding water little by little until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Now let it rest for at least 1 hour covered with a cloth to let it rise.
After the hour, we cover the inn with wheat flour, we pass the mass of the container to the inn and we knead for 5min. Then cut the dough into equal portions, let it rest for 30 minutes, and stretch it taking care not to break to put it on a tray.
Yes! we use a bottle of wine as rolling pin 😏
