How Plants Respond in the morning
Before you even opened your eyes, plants were already awake, stretching and chasing the light. I just enjoy seeing the droplets of water on fresh Green leaves. All these plants have their uses, and I'm always amazed on how our ancestors were able to know the uses of some of these plants.
How did they know they have to uproot the cassava stem to get cassava, how then did they have to peel it, wash it, grind it, sieve it and fry it Which made it ready for consumption. All these long process looks like a godly being was giving them directions on what to do. How di they even know what roots were good for the health and the ones that were poisonous.
The first image I shared is an image of a known medicinal plant, "Hospital is too far" this is how it is known locally. Another surprising discovery, I would say is this Hibiscus flower, I thought flowers we're just for the aesthetics but it is worth more, this Hibiscus leaves when dried are used to make Zobo, a locally made drink that is nutritious and also good to the health.
Since I love nature, I woke up to see how vibrant the plants were, I had to take couple of photos and videos, I caught a butterfly on video as well.
This photos would have really made a good wallpaper but I really wanted it to be in size 16:9, I just love how it sits on steemit page. I noticed a lot while taking photos of these plants, I was able to find insects in some. It requires patience to take those photos. You need to steady and also focus to get it.
Another point I would love to share is, as a nature photographer or a photographer in general you should have this art of Noticing. Those small things that looks like nothing can actually be something big if you take it.
If I can take you through the process of taking these photographs then you would understand. Some of the plants were not that appealing to the eyes but coming closer to get the part I want in the frame was the key. I went a bit closer to get the details.
I love nature photography because of the peace it brings, I would really love to take photos of pretty birds I see and also butterflies but it seems not really possible because of the camera, it needs a close range to take a good photo.
