It's actually not bad planning to think in two increments, next 2-3 years, then life as a rich person.

That's a really nice thought @indigoocean. I've started spending less time on Steemit this last weeke or so for a few reasons but one of them is, having bought a bit of Steem I've seem how much easier that is than trying to earn it. Massively so.

I'd be better off working an extra hour and using that fiat to buy Steem. Trying to earn it here just doesn't make sense anymore.

My challenge is I'd like to invest in a few more currencies but I'm not interested in doing the research. I have saved the link from your last article though and will look at that when I have time. #😁

You really do have to either have the crypto research "bug" and just love doing it, or probably best to just stay in BTC. Even in a falling market, it has only lost about 65% of its value from its ATH, while most others have lost 80-97% of their value. It's all a lot, but that still tells you where your investment is safest in crypto. So either buy something you really believe in, care about, and/or can use, like STEEM, or just buy and hold BTC.

Thanks so much for that @indigoocean. That sounds like a great plan. 😁

People tend to think of government departments in the wrong light, while they supposedly have no "economic incentive" in their positions, the reality is all government departments are fighting for more power(jurisdiction). More jurisdiction results in increased budgets and increased budgets relate to larger salaries. It is 100% in the SEC's interest to be pro-crypto.

Very interesting argument. I had to read that twice to get it, but I see your point. They expand their authority by admitting more asset classes into instruments they are responsible for.

That's right!

dollar cost averaging!!! that’s the trick and while btc looks like it’s so out of reach for some people if they just slowly build it up over time, they will acquire a healthy portfolio in no time. big things are coming for sure.

I keep telling my family members, "Just put in $50 every pay period. In 5 years you can put a down payment on a house with that." In reality, they may actually be able to buy a house entirely with the appreciation on that, but if I say that they'll think I'm over selling it. LOL

Thanks for the insight. I hope this has a ripple effect on steem. I am banking on it. That's why I'm trying my best to build on here because I believe it will be much more in a couple of months/years.

It absolutely will have a ripple effect on the overall crypto market, and STEEM is a particularly strong coin.

Actually, while there are a lot of terrible things about institutional money flooding the market, one really good thing for coins like STEEM is that they are more discerning investors. They actually care about things like a working product. On that score, STEEM stands head and shoulders above most others. I think we should see a higher proportion of the altcoin rise once the word reaches the right circles, and there's a team on here working hard to make sure it does.

Hooray! If I can survive that long, I'll be okay in a few years! ;)

Do you believe this is the last opportunity of buying bitcoin at this lowest price at around $6500 ???
or in next year market will give another chance to us again...

This price is very unlikely to be seen next year. Maybe they'll be another big bust after the next spike, but I don't see it happening in nearly that short a timeframe. But these prices are still here, maybe through the end of the year. We could just keep bouncing sideways like we've been doing until that first ETF actually gets approved for the US standard investment market.

The thing to keep in mind though is, you don't need BTC at $6,500. You'll do just as well in the long run if you can't buy in until $8,500 or even $10,000. It's all really amazing if your time horizon is in years, not months.

Nice! Thank you for giving us this info!
