An Amazing Egyptian Restaurant In North Carolina with a Gorgeous Interior telling a Historic Story.

in #food7 years ago (edited)

It was my wedding anniversary and we were looking for something new. We found this lovely little Egyptian Restaurant in Greensboro, NC. The food is amazing, the service is spectacular and the decor shares some of the history of Egypt. If you are ever in this area it is a must try.

Our meal:
Babganoush, Falafel, Shrimp in a Basket, Naan, Chicken Kebob, Kofta, Beef Shewarma, Chicken Shewarma, Pompano Grilled Whole Fish, Salad and Caramelized Onion Rice.

Hi there! So glad y'all had a fun anniversary!
Wow! The interior design in that place is gorgeous and so is the food! Amazing! Thanks for sharing!

It is a beautyful place, feels like in Egypt. Happy anniversary

Congrats on the anniversary! And I'm excited to hear there's a new restaurant in Greensboro. I grew up in Winston-Salem and travel back to see family often. And I always fly into Greensboro so I'm going to have to check this place out.

Thank you! It is a small world isn't it? I live in Winston-Salem. The area is actually starting to come back to life. It was awesome in the 80's, but with Wachovia leaving, the issues with RJR, Piedmont Airlines, and General Electric leaving it became a ghost town. Berkshire Hathaway is building a lot of new homes and condos. Hotels and restaurants popping up everywhere, and Downtown is active. Give it another 5 years and this place will be the place to live for those that want a slower pace, but a variety of things to do.

Oh, and yes check this place out. lol! If you have a pallet for flavor you will love it! The owner is the Chef and he has a fantastic personality, and makes you feel welcomed.
