SCRIPTURE REVIEW | Psalms 23:2 | Green Pastures And Still Waters

Two days back i started a review of Psalms chapter 23 and i reviewed verse one.

SCRIPTURE REVIEW PART 1

Where we talked about Jesus been our Shepherd first before we can come to the point of saying "i shall not want"

Today we will move on to verse 2 of that psalms

Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Lying Down In Green Pastures

A green pasture is an area covered with green grasses and other crops that is fit for grazing by animals been led by a shepherd.

implying once we make him our shepherd he leads us to pleasant places where there is no want. A place of supply

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

The above is available when we make him our shepherd.

Beside Still Water

A part of a stream that is level or where the level of inclination is so slight that no current is visible.
As a shepherd he leads us through waters that are still and quiet. Where the storms of life is always brought low at his command and instructions.

The above is anchored on we allowing the shepherd to always lead us.

But that does mean that the storms of life will not come but there is a consolation

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Allow him lead you and he will always calm the storm for you
