Lower Johnston Falls

in #photofeed6 years ago

Wow Hive up to a market cap rank of 43! Amazing for something that has been around for only a month.

This is a shot I took in the melt. Spring creates some interesting conditions in the mountains as the ice melts and the rivers begin to burst through their icy cages like awkward teenagers trying to find their feet. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes incongruous, but always exquisite. This shot is taken of the lower falls in Johnson Canyon and turned out to be quite a challenging shoot in the middle of the day. It took a panorama of eight wide angle shots at 16mm (with a full frame sensor) stitched into this single square to capture what I felt was a realistic representation of the falls and the pool below with minimal edge distortion. I was trying to create something that captured the feeling of the tight canyon wrapping around you on the viewing ledge after passing through the small, dark, slippery, icy tunnel to get there. Hi, I was prowling in your web (http://www.robertdowniephotography.com) and I find it amazing, great job Robert.

Thanks. I think you are the first comment I have had in a long while on Steem now that everyone seems to have moved to hive.

Yes, I guess. I have to say that I'm impressed by your work. I like the photography

Thanks. I will be still posting here on steem for a little while longer but if engagement is low then I will probably just move over to hive completely.

I have heard something about Hive, but I dont´n Know what is the web link.
¿Could you give me the link to see what is about, please?
I was searching in internet and I get other things that are not related to Hive

Hive is a community fork of steem; most of the community left and are now over there. If you had an account when the split happened you can just log in over there. Seems you just started blogging when the split happened? You wont find much on steem about it as they have been censoring posts over here relating to it.
