Hi Steemit! My new buddy, @falseyedols from Rocky Mountain Steem, invited me to participate in the #smilechallenge

From what I've gathered, the point is to show off my pearly whites and a little bit about what makes me smile in my world.

For this, I've selected some photos of some things I did over the past week, which had me smiling!

In the top photo, I was leaving the Flatirons Crossing Mall in Superior, Colorado, this past Thursday. My buddy and I were shopping for blacklight reflective clothing and new gauges before we stepped out for a Blade Runner themed blacklight party, on wheels.

So there wasn't a smile in this one, but you can see the new gauges were reflective in the black light at the party.

The music was unoriginal. I felt like the theme was a big "miss," but hey, the gauges glowed...

Collaborative Hangout over Craft beer

My buddy @falseyedols and I met up this past Wednesday at Pikes Peak Brewing Company, in Monument, Colorado

We are both musicians and artists and we decided that it would be a tremendous boon to lock arms on a new project that I've been toying around with, while making sure I nailed certain details down (properly), prior to commencing.

I have been putting a format together for a new radio show that I will be hosting on MSP WAVES RADIO, which I have called "Voices From the Mountains," where we will be offering a variety of interesting things, one of which is to feature and promote independent artists and musicians from our Rocky Mountain region.

Not yet caffeinated...

About to pop in for a ristretto Americano with a very good friend, on our way up to Boulder, Colorado this past Friday.

An Everything Croissant was involved...

When we made it to Boulder, I was looking for an ephemeris and some other cool things at The Lighthouse Bookstore

Whilst thumbing through books, this Ram Dass' "Be Here Now" jumped into my hands.

Not twice.

Thrice.

So yeah, I just had to roll with this. I knew I needed it the moment it jumped into my hands, but I had to play with that a moment.

It led to a fun chat with a fellow metaphysical enthusiast who was browsing alongside me.

My Love of Street Art

So, in 2013 I helped produce an independent film project in Boulder, Colorado with some friends.

The protagonist of the film was a street artist and since one of our producers was close friends with Christina Angelina, she traveled from Venice, CA to help us donate this installment onto Community Cycles' 20' X 40' wall facing the Goose Creek Bike Path.

I was fortunate to be the one who hosted Angelina Christina (A.K.A. Starfighter), (her dog) James Dean, and (her grandmother) Evelyn, when they were helping us with the film and lively-ing the city with beautiful works of art.

In front of J&L Distillery, along the bike path, there is more of this art.

If you're ever out in Boulder, you can even see more of these installments inside of some of the bike tunnels along the path.

I was extremely pleased to see how well they've held up, now that it's been nearly 5 years since the project. Good thing for antigrafitti spray!

One of my sleepy (quadruped) kids is sacked out next to me as I'm typing up this post, so I've taken one last smile photo to seal it up...

That adorable tiny tot is Jolie. (She just turned 10, by the way.)

She is the culprit behind many of my smiles...
