Hello ladies..
1.How often do you take care of your kitchen?
First of all, I am not a kitchen cleaning expert, and my kitchen is not perfectly sparkling clean at all times. I actually cook 2 main meals a day and make a few different snacks for the little ones.
With two small children and other chores around the house, I can't get to the dishes immediately after cooking.
Also, because I know the mental freedom of a clean kitchen, as soon as I get a chance, I use it as my first duty to clean the kitchen.
Well, when I finish cooking, the kitchen is actually as shown below.
I usually follow cleaning while cooking.
But with little kids it's hard to always do what we plan.
But if I did some work in the kitchen, I would tidy it up quickly without postponing it for later. Otherwise, it will be like a big storm has blown through the kitchen without realizing it.
2.Share some practical examples of the ways you take care of your kitchen.
I always try to keep my kitchen clean and tidy. Another reason is that I have an open kitchen.
So now let's see some practical things that I follow for that.
01.Keep visible kitchen appliances to a minimum.
My counter top used to be lined with cookware, utensils, etc. from one end to the other. Then I packed them properly in the cupboards and the kitchen looked neater and cleaner than usual.
02.Clean up while waiting for the food to cook properly.
If you have some free time during work in the kitchen, use it wisely.
For example:-
- clean the counter top while you wait for the food to cook.
- Start washing the dishes.
- Put the cooking utensils back in their proper place.
- Wipe down the counter top.
You'll be amazed at what you can do in the time it actually takes to cook.
03.Place a mini compost/garbage bin on the counter top before starting to cook.
Instead of throwing your pre-cooking onion peels and other waste pieces on the counter or floor, it is more efficient to put them in a temporary mini garbage bowl.
This will prevent your kitchen from getting dirty and you can quickly dispose of the garbage at once.
Another advantage of this is that vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, etc. can be peeled directly into the garbage bowl.
04.Try to clean after every meal.
Then you won't have to spend much time on it and your kitchen will also stay clean. Otherwise, if you let the dirty dishes pile up, you will have to spend more effort and time to clean them.
So make it a habit to clean the table, wash the dishes and wipe down the counters after every meal.
05.Wipe the counter top and stove well with cleaner.

Thank you for participating…..
Balancing cooking, housework and caring for young children is no small feat. It's great that you recognize the importance of a clean kitchen and try to keep it tidy as you go. With kids around, it's understandable that things can get messy quickly. Your approach to dealing with chaos when you can and not letting it build is pragmatic and admirable. Thanks for sharing your honest experience.

Hi, to start with you have a nice kitchen, I love those light cabinets and that window that is always necessary and quiet, we all experience clutter in the kitchen while we are busy in it and more if we have small children as in your case and if we add to that work outside the home as sometimes is the case imagine.
The important thing is to do as much as possible to clean and tidy up, because it is nice for everyone. Blessings, good luck in the challenge.
You don't necessarily have to be an expert in cleaning to have your kitchen cleaned up. I just love the little you just did, it shows you are hygiene conscious. The little boy played his part well.
All the best!
