Comana – A jewel close to Bucharest/Romania

At about only 30 kilometers from Bucharest, there is a true oasis for those who have been tired of city hustle and the noise of horns on busy boulevards.
Comana Natural Park is located in the south of Romania and is at an approximately equal distance between Giurgiu and Bucharest. Bucharest people, and not only, who want to escape the madness of the city and want to relax for a day they can go to Comana Park, where people can experience a small escape in nature.
Here, you have several areas to walk into nature.

In the natural park, there is the Comana Lake, the third wetland in the country after Balta Brăilei and the Danube Delta, being the second as biodiversity after the Danube Delta. This has transformed over time into the house of 141 species of birds and 13 species of fish, of which two are found only in this area.
Those who go to Comana and want to enjoy the water, can take a boat ride and admire the beauty of nature. The landscapes are truly beautiful and seem detached from the fairy tale books. Another attraction is Comana Monastery, built by Radu Şerban (1588), which was built on the ruins of a monastery founded by the famous Vlad Ţepeş.

There is also an adventure park that features four trails for children and three for adults. Entrance to the adventure park costs 50 lei for three hours, and you can find here, among other things, walls climbing, tennis courts and motor paragliding flights.
Tourists who choose to spend a night at Comana have to pay around 100-150 lei, depending on their requirements. The patrons of the area's guesthouses come with offers for those who are eager to eat and stay overnight here. For example, a package for a two-person room costs about 250 lei.
