Plitvice National Park is one of those places that is superlative and everything is illustrated with millions of pictures that are worth seeing. And then you wonder if it's true or everything is commercially thought ...

Well, all I can say is that you will not just be amazed, you'll just be delighted to the fullest. Croatia's Plitvice National Park is a place of special beauty!

I visited the park twice, and every time I was overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. We have discovered that the park is just as enchanting in real life as it is in pictures. The water is incredibly clean, turquoise or blue depending on the sun's rays. In the few hours you walk, it surrounds the landscapes vibrant with a green that harmonizes perfectly with the blue color of the water.

The entrance ticket in the park is 110 kn and to it is added the parking fee which is according to the number of staying hours.

The park is large, and you can choose to walk on one of the routes or take a bus along the route. No matter which route you choose, you will enjoy the same show of nature.

You have to spend at least 4-5 hours exploring this wonderful place. You will see fish playing in crystal clear water, rhythm rides in lakes and of course you will discover many waterfalls. The trails are arranged but preserve an authentic integration into the landscape, especially through wooden paths that will lead you through the middle of the lake and next to the waterfalls. As every turn I saw a waterfall, smaller or bigger.

My tips for enjoying Plitvice Jezera National Park are:

Give yourself a minimum of 4-5 hours, preferably a whole day for the visit
Take with you water and some food because the offer is quite weak
Charge your battery to the camera because you will have many pictures to do :)
If you are not the kind of sport and prefer to enjoy the trip than to make miles, take the bus up and then go down to the exit
Take your comfortable shoes and sun cream, or some hat / hat
Plitvice Jezera is a place of great beauty that you have to add to your list of holiday destinations. You will discover why Croatia is an excellent destination for nature lovers although it is underestimated.
