Many told me that one of the top international nationalities into Vietnam was Korea and next was China, followed by Japan. I could never believe that for I could not imagine what this little country could attract the Koreans.

Boy ! Was I wrong !

There's so many Koreans living here as the locals do and building their business and family too. The amount of korean influence within this country is amazing especially in the food & retail industry.

One the famous korean restaurants that I go is actually nearby my apartment in Vincom, Landmark. I think I've been to this restaurant over five times in the last two months. Not only is the food a form of comfort to the soul but also because of the service and easy understanding of english language amongst the wait staff.

Whatever that you may order from the menu; be it a hot pot soup with noodles or just simple Bibimbap. Bibimbap is essentially a bowl of mixed ingredients including, but not limited to, rice, namul (seasoned and sautéed vegetables), mushrooms, beef, soy sauce, gochujang (chili pepper paste), and a fried egg. The ingredients found in bibimbap vary by regions in Korea.

In this particular restaurant, an order of Bibimbap comes together with a bowl of Kimchi soup with ingredients such as green vegetables and potatoes. I would mix the soup with the Bibimbap so as to keep the rice moist. It's kind of hard to eat the rice without any sauce or gravy.

Of course, no korean food is complete without Kimchi. One of the oldest and probably the most essential dishes in Korean cuisine, kimchi is a spicy and sour dish made up of fermented vegetables. It is prepared with various kinds of ingredients, but the most common main ingredient is cabbage. It's popularity is due to its unique flavor, as well as its high nutritional value, fiber content and low calorie content.

I could finish an entire serving of kimchi and still get replenishment over and over again. That's my favourite part !

You've got to check out this restaurant and you won't regret it ! It's indeed a GEM !

Wah...food looks soo sedapp!

oh yes it does... that's why I returned to this restaurant over and over again

Wow it looks good. I read in a newspaper recently that 1 million Koreans went to Vietnam during the past 12 months. That's a lot of tourists from one country. The main reason is because of a shift from visiting the Philippines due to violence.

Now I understand why. Thanks for the update

MMMM..... I love Korean food... I especially love the little fermented dishes that they have! BiBimBap is always my go to dish as well, but I love to have a side of dumplings though!

Oh yes.. the dumplings are nice.
They also serve BBQ meat but not my favourite as it's just too meaty for my taste

I love Bibimbap!!

One of the best staple food for Koreans and slowly becoming mine as well
