My Experience After Being on Steemit for a Month

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

It’s been one month since I joined Steemit, but it feels a lot longer, probably because I spend a good amount of my time on the platform. I would like to say a big THANK you to all of you that follow me and read, upvote, comment and resteem my posts! I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you that keep creating and sharing such wonderful content! Thank you, Steemians! On the day I started, it never crossed my mind that I will meet and befriend interesting people from all over the world, or that I will earn money.

During this month, I realized that creating good content is a lot of hard work. Not only because it requires dedication and perseverance, but because I am not a native English speaker. Double and triple checking my writing consumes a lot of time, and I must say that Grammarly.com has been an invaluable tool for me.

I also learned about the crypto-world and blockchain; though, I still don’t fully understand them. I bought my first bitcoins using SBD and then converted them to ethers. I started using my posting and active keys instead of my password on Steemit. Less than a month was enough to convince me of the huge potential of our platform, so I started spreading the word to other people.

What’s next for me and my blog? I will continue publishing photography-oriented content, and occasionally articles on other topics that interest me (politics, philosophy, music, life, etc.). I would like to start a weekly or bi-weekly photography series, but this will happen sometime in the future, as it requires travelig out of the city. I first need to get my hands on a car.

That said, I would like to contribute even more to our community. Steemit shouldn’t be only about accumulating followers and making money, but also about helping one another. Do you need help with your photography? I am not a professional photographer, but I am very passionate about it, and I could probably give you some useful advice. Do you need a visual for your blog? I might be able to create something for you in Photoshop. Do you need assistance with understanding Facebook ads? I work as a social media specialist, and I can give you an insight on how to use ads on Facebook. Find me on steemit.chat as @irreverent.dan, and I will be glad to help you.

That’s it. I am now rewarding myself with a bottle of Thornbridge Wild Raven.

Cheers and steem on!

Great one love it!

Honestly, I never would have thought that you were not a native English speaker. I am glad that you work so hard to "get it right". A LOT of people just seem to not care. Even those who speak English as a native language! I try not to judge too harshly if I know it is not the native language of the blogger I'm reading. Because I know the struggle of trying to learn a new language. Your grammar is always on point though! You deserve your reward! :)

Haha, thanks, man! Maybe it's not that important, but I am a perfectionist at heart🥇😂

Glad to see you are enjoying the platform. Looking forward to all your post!

Thanks a lot @captain-nemo, I appreciate it!

Nazdrave !

Наздраве! И този път без махмурлуци! Хаха

great one love it! :) Where are you from?

Thanks @redtravels, I am glad that you like it :) I'm from Bulgaria.

Nice it's working out for you. I'm only here for a couple of days. Like it so for. Except for the fact that it is hard to find the more decent photographers ... hot and trending are no big help and 'new' is moving very fast. But I'll figure it out.

Thanks for your comment @divyne. There are many talented photographers, and I am sure that you will soon discover them :) What type of photography are you into?

Super, this is great stuff. You should do more

Thanks @rooby, I am flattered! I will try to deliver more 😝
