An audition, in its most simple sense, is a performance done before panel to check how well you can cut before a movie role is given to you. It is usually done to prove to the director or whoever is responsible for matching (casting) artistes with specific roles as given in the script.

I woke up around 6 a.m. on that Saturday morning feeling excited. I said my prayers and, and as it is my culture every Saturdy, I went for my early morning jog. I didn't go too far because I knew I won't have time to rest at all because the audition was billed for 10 am. So I did a 45 minute jog on the new Ring Road 3 and went back home. I had my bath, then made breakfast and ate, and went to look after my snail farm. I removed the left food and placed new ones. I sprayed the farm with water using my hand sprayer. This is necessary as they need their environment to be moist all the time. After that, I went over what I will be teaching my other students that are writing WAEC and JSS 3 exams. By this time, it was already past 11 a.m., and I was running late. So I dressed up and left for the audition.
The venue of the audition was Discovery Park, Udoumana. I got there a little past 12 noon, and the place was already filled with artistes.

I found a lot of newbies in the movie there; I also found some old folks. I found a nice spot in front and quietly sat down after I wrote my name on the attendant list.
The producer of the job, a popular producer, Sadeta Saviour, who has produced over 100 jobs in Nigeria; and movie, to be directed by the popular director, Akwa Ibom born director, Moses Eskor, DGN.
Well, I wasn't auditioned, instead, I was table casted for the role in the movie. Table casting usually happens when the director knows your area of strength already and doesn't want to waste time auditioning you.
The the audition as usual is always fun and you see newbies fumbling over their lines and doing lol sort of unexpected things. Well, it finally came to an end around to 3pm, but I stay around a bit and caught up on old times with old friends and colleagues.
When it was to 4pm, I left and went to where I was to have a Mathematics lessons with my students.

Our lessons for this particular location is usually in two Parts: One for Emmanuel, who is in SS 3 and the second part for Anyiekan, who is in JSS 3. Both of them are writing exams this year For Emmanuel, our lesson was on Longitude and Latitudes: Longitudes and Latitudes are imaginary lines drawn on the earth surface that helps us tell locations and time on different places. I went over his home work on the previous lesson, he did well, but still needed a few corrections, which we did and when I gave him class work on it, and he dud. For the Anyiekan, my student in J33, we did Variation. We learnt about the Direct and Inverse Variation. He's quite smart as he understood everything well without much explanation.
I finished the lesson around 6:30 pm, and I went to relax at my favourite snooker sport. Before my turn, I ordered for a bottle of drink and chilled.

I had a very fun filled and fulfilling day. When I got home it was around past 10pm. I went straight and had my bath then dinner. I lay on the bed and wrote about my day, then I slept off.
