Beat Battle League Week #15 | Hulk Smash!
When Stan Lee set out to create the all incredible Hulk back in the 60's, he found inspiration in the stories such as Frankenstein, Dr.Jekyll and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
First edition came out in the May 1962, and was penciled and co-plotted by Jack Kirby and inked by Paul Reinman. Hulk went through a long journey until he came to be as popular as he is today, a year after his first issue was published, he got cancelled and then afterwards only guest starred in the other comics as either an antagonist or a superhero.
When a certain college dormitory decided to took Hulk as a official mascot, Lee realized their character had found an audience in college-age readers.
Stan Lee originally made Hulk grey, to avoid the character being placed in any of the ethnic groups, but that specific color presented challenges for the illustrators as it appeared in different shades in the comics, so they went for the green. Two movies came out in 1977, followed by excellent critics that led to an Incredible Hulk TV series which aired from 1978 to 1982, which drove even more success to a Hulk trademark.
I've chosen Hulk for my entry because I've liked the 1996's music theme, it's quality was pretty bad as you can hear at the start of the track, so I figured I will recompose it my self instead of sampling the theme., but still use it as an intro for the song to show the basis. The intention behind my track is to show the character of the Hulk through music, hence the choice to come out strong and stay strong throughout the track.
I created the beats with the Battery 4 in Ableton, using Dr.Driller kit. It seemed very suitable for me that Hulk gets this kind of Dub Steppy beat and tunes. The music theme I recomposed with the Spitfire Masse, an orchestra emulation loaded into Kontakt 5, and the second part of the variation on theme is made with Massive.
If you wish to avoid the Youtube limiter and hear it louder you can hear it on the Soundcloud below

HOLY CRAP!! we have some serious talent here haha yes!! I like it !
True that :) I dig everyone's beats man, really cool thing goin' on on SMA
Glad you appreciated it @seveaux
oh you have to thank @chiefmappster for this because of him I found music is still my no.1 passion and so I reached out to him and we both talked about creating a community for musicians and that's when we started the SMA channel.. we keep doing our best to create the most joyable environment foor steemian musicians to meet and collab and stuff... it's like a family and if you or someone else who has a cool project in mind that is musicrelated and brings people together with music then we are happy to give a jumpstart with a channel for you to run on the SMA server :)
You guys did an awesome decision, I think this will grow as the Steemit grows, this community needs more and more music to help the artist be more independent, there might be more ways to do this out there, but this is the most fun, to blog and connect with other musicians on this level is the future.
Now that DLive is up did you guys plan to make Stream nights, or even better some plans to sync up audio and do live collab's on 2 or even 4 screens haha :)
oh that would be awesome... to collab in 1 project with multiple people how epic would that be ! how does it work ?
To run everything smoothly :) participants would need to have a very stable and fast internet, we would also need to connect via Jamkazam or similar.
Participants would also need to have a medium ($150 and up) to high range sound card to minimize the session latency and ping rate.
One of us that is not playing in the session can receive our live video and then stream it live on DLive
(that person could also run the video through it's own sound card and be our sound guy, improving the sound quality for the best delivery)
We could make events every now and then, create interchangeable bands/cooperations, make improv session, you name it haha
Check the video out below to see how it looks, I need to familiarize with this a wee bit more, I will make a post tomorrow to present this suggestion and tag you guys to see it all detailed.
thats also possible with ohm force studio or something ;)
Yeah of course, it is possible with any collab software, I think Jamkazam is most suitable for the DLive event purposes, cause you can do anything you can on Ohm but on video to present to the viewers the performance in it's best, you can shift your video from studio/room to you DAW screen so people can see into what exactly your doing
@ivan.atman Yooooo Yoooo!!!! Someone just really unleashed a muthafuckin Hulk in tha building!!! What a freakin doppe beat and video Synced with it. Mah man soooo glad u joined our beat battles family Kudos!!!
Hey Lethal :) haha this is the funniest scene in the movie

💪😀
DAMN!
🤞
Woahhhhhhhh what one heck of an entry. This is amazing buddy.
Everything from the professional, flowing, informative post to the awesome #beatbattle image created to the epic Hulk beat. This is such an ideal entry props to you.
The way you recomposed this instead of sampling it is incredible. The sound quality is top-notch, really clear in my opinion.
I love the change-up after that "feel the power" sample at 0:46. Just one example of how you intertwine so seemless the hulk themed elements throughout the beat.
Appreciate you delivering the energy with this one. Thank you for all the time and effort your put into creating this entry. Much love
Namaste
Thank you Chief, really appreciate your comment, you can expect my contribution and participation from now on to the SMA and it's contests, I really enjoy the fact that you guys started this thing here, even though music is a small part of Steemit, it will grow, this be baby steps yo :)
You're very welcome and heck yeah that makes me smile so big can't wait to hear what the future holds.
And thank you appreciate that. Progression not perfection baby we got this o weeeeeeee.
God bless buddy
