Vitalik Buterin engaged in the development of a new Ethereum Fund
Well-known Ethereum supporters are joining forces to create a Fund for projects built on the second largest blockchain in the world.
This initiative is supported by the joint efforts of Cosmos, Golem, Global Blockchain Labs, Maker, OmiseGo, Raiden and Tendermint, with participants agreeing to work to connect Ethereum projects to companies that could take advantage of the benefits they offer.
It will also support projects in the form of a grant programme, which will function as a "permanent financial Fund" for individual projects. It is especially important that the Fund boasts the participation of the Creator of #Ethereum Vitalik Buterin, who confirmed that he is an Advisor to the Association.
Buterin writes:
The Ethereum network has outgrown my expectations over the past few years, but the job is clearly not finished. Value assurance should be the mantra of 2018; efforts such as ECF (Ethereum Community Fund) will help organize ecosystem development and make it possible.
More broadly, ECF is not the only project that has recently been trying to strengthen the Ethereum blockchain and its surrounding ecosystem.
The Ethereum nonprofit Foundation, which oversees the development of the platform, announced two subsidy programs in January that will encourage developers to implement scaling solutions. Similarly, the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance provides resources to companies that plan to use Ethereum and associate Fortune 500 companies with startups.
ECF participants expressed optimism as their project would encourage new participants to join their efforts. OmiseGO founder June Hasegawa, said:
One isolated project can create a product of an evolving industry, but working together, we can create a structure that will change the world.
