Travels - Italy, Reggio Calabria - "Bronzi of Riace" and brioche with ice cream
This morning I visited the Archaeological National Museum of Reggio Calabria where there are the Bronze of Riace, two sculptures found in the Ionian Sea in the 1972.
Every muscle is perfectly visible, it was achieved an incredible detail for human body.
Of course in the museum there is also the history of Greek populations up to 2000 years AC, but these two sculptures are fantastic and when you arrive at the end, probably you tell only about this.
The statues were most likely made in Athens and then moved to Rome. But the boat that carried them sank and the precious cargo loads submerged in the sand at about 8 feet deep. These statues have been stuck in the backdrop for about 2000 years.
My friend advised me to eat a very good brioche with ice cream in a very famous ice cream shop "CESARE" after the visit. I'm curious and I go to take this famous brioche with ice cream. I can tell you that it is really delicious!!
ENJOY Reggio Calabria, the "Bronze of Riace" and the delicious Brioche with ICE CREAM!
Nice shots.
Thanks!
That is a place to be for me...
