The Difference Between An Active Steemian and A Member of Steemit

in #steemitdiversify8 years ago (edited)

I remember the first time I join a writers club back in '95. It was an awesome feeling! I can't remember if I had to pay for a fee to be a member of that league. Most of the writers are senior writers, middle age writers and mid-20s writers or junior writers.

I join the group because I wanted to learn about poetry, also, meeting them for the first time excites me. I even meet the Filipino and English writers at the Writer's Union of the Philippines yearly get together. You'll have the opportunity to meet the present officers and the past ones. I personally saw Nick Joaquin, the English writer, poet, etc. though we are apart from each other he's old and reserve. I can't tell how much I'm in bliss when I was there. This group has awesome Filipino writers and/or thinkers! I continue writing long as I could. But things have changed along from that day on.

Though I write from time to time during those cold days of my writing career. It really went cold. I wasn't writing anymore. There are a lot reasons why I didn't continue writing. I don't need to elaborate here. It's just maybe I'm me and I can't possibly say I'm too lazy to write and sporadically, I write when I'm in my best mood.
Somehow, I learn why writing is not as we want to think about, it's not easy to write. It's not that. It's a devotion, perfecting the craft, giving time to mold your creativeness to the next level. It is a continuing learning process. It will be the biggest step towards the higher price calling to the writer's career!
As for Steemit and the Steemians, is that Active Steemians devotes their time to be on this site as if this is their second home. They are contented how things work for them as long as Steemit is here. They value their time to also perfecting their craft not just as a writer but also partly trader. Giving time to learn about crypto and it's real function in the real world and in the virtual reality!

Now, as for the members of Steemit who are just as almost watching a movie for 2 hours, stagnant, unable to produce articles/blog consistently, inactive in many ways, reasons are piling up like it was a day to day basis of not being into this awesome site.  Yes, truly they have their account, they are members, they are given time to be here, they may participate in contest/challenges in many ways, but don't have a burning desire to spread the good news because they are also busy with their own errands. I wonder how those members who are so busy with their life, attending to their kids needs, maybe a sick parent who are near death (and later died - like in the case of Surpassinggoogle) who attended to it, but still manage to Steemit! Oh, well.

I'm wondering now how could I be able to make a parallelism between an Ant and a Steemians?

You have said it all well. Even as we write to earn, we must tell others the good news. We must be more than just active writers but active steemians

Yes an active steemians is far better than just merely writing without spreading it across a 1 meter distance to share it with your neighborhood! Thanks thepsalmic!

The difference between an active Steemian and just a member of Steemit is just like having a job and wait for an earning every 15th and 30th of the month who does not care if he grows as an individual by sharing himself to the company he works with or just working to earn a living...Am grateful that despite my situation I am an ACTIVE STEEMIAN!

Being an active in Steemit requires dedication, dedication requires passion. If you have passion for writing then you're half way there, if you love this site then you're in your way to become a successful Steemian

Good point @lifeeaf I hope I have both though of course I still get post that are zero reward

Yes, you do have both. I've been there with many zeroes too... gratefulayn.

Being passionate about something you like, yes, that I think is part of the ingredients to be on top!

I can tell I am an active Steemian.

Same here @iyanpol12 active and proud Steemians here

Whoa! That's more like it!

Yes, I know you are super active, sir iyanpol12!

Hmm I am in between an active and a member only Steemian but leaning towards the active

@purpledaisy I'm sure you'll find reasons to be both in time. Steem on

I think she's doing fine, gratefulayn...

There you go, ma'am daisy! Thanks!

Really enjoy this post.. I also like poetry and writing in general.. Have the flare for it. That why i look up to more post for improvement.. No one have ever made it standing alone.. Just joined steemit recently (a newbie) and have come across lots and lots of inspirational writing... Truly happy to be here

Just keep on writing and still we are all students of learning! Thanks delaw!

Thank you to

To be honest I do not write anything if I know I am not getting paid.

Salamat sir cloudspyder!

Hmm I write even if it doesn't get rewarded. Sure it's nice to have payment yet if writing is your passion you'd pen them even on air I supppse@cloudspyder

@iwrite very good points john, this is absolutely true and all agree with this difference

Thanks shohana!

hmmmmnnn...active na ndi active or ndi active na active hahahaha...sir thank you for this post, and as always po, very fluent and spontaneous :-)

Lol... Ano ba talaga ate? Mas mainam talaga both!

I am the Great Cornholio! Would you like to see my portfolio? I have a portfolio in my bunghole, with my óleo!

hahahahaha opo sir both na lang :-D

I am not sure if I can still divide myself, writing in here and working from 7-10pm. I am always tired, but I get back in here. Obviously I don't have the inspiration to write anymore when I am tired, so I will just blog when I have something quality to say. I don't want to leave my account as I know I will still be writing, there will be times that I will do be active regularly.... and the story goes on..

I think one great thing about Steemit is that it rekindles a fire. It reminds you that you have an active role in social media. It inspires you to make favorable content and makes you reconsider your point of view in life.

For me, I started to draw again; Be more open in my thoughts and try to find ways to help out others through my posts. I think that's really wonderful.

Best part is that you get to meet likeminded people with similar passion. Writer. Bloggers. Artists. Steemians. People.

Veey nice content. Hope to be an active steemian in the future and maybe to contribute in the virtual community also
