Flocks of Migratory Birds
When it's cold at the northern hemisphere, particularly those countries experiencing snowy winter, migratory birds transfer to warmer places like Philippines and other countries which is not snowing. Some of those migratory birds are egrets. It was believed that these birds came from China or Siberia.
In our province, the favorite spot for migratory birds is in Binmaley, Pangasinan. I have no idea what's the reason, but I think they love swampy areas. The town of Binmaley is a home to large hectares of fishponds, and many parts stretches over the national road.
In the photo above, you can see how those egrets flocked in the fish pond. I was amazed to see them altogether so I took the chance to capture a photo of them as it is a rare opportunity.
The fish pond is drying up since the fish farmers has harvested for some reasons. It might be summer is coming and it will dry up the ponds, or maybe harvest is due.
I was amazed to see these birds flying. It could have been captured better in videos but it looks small besides, I am riding the bus and taking a video won't be possible.
Those two kids are actually counting the fishes they caught from the pond. Those might be leftovers after the harvest is already done.
The challenge of migratory birds flocking in
It might be delightful to see these birds flying over our land and the waters of the ponds, but it is a challenge for the owners. These egrets are eating the fishes in the pond, hence, another reason harvesting is their only option to save their business.

It must’ve been cool to see those birds in person. Amazing.
Must have been hard to catch fish for those kids when competing with those birds!
I imagine, what if beauty like this is in our area. It is a pleasure to release the burden of the mind because of stress all day with work in the office.
