Day 867 (Daily Post)
Day 867. The last several days it has been nice to just take it easy and get in some relaxation time but today I need to get back to doing stuff and be productive in one way or another. The downtime has been nice and all but I am feeling a bit stir crazy and sort of just want to get out in the sun, focus working on something, pour some sweat, wear off some of my pent up energy and get some exercise.
Currently things are kind of at this point where a lot of my stuff is packed down but I should probably try to get things to the point where all I have left unpacked is the essential things that I need to get by with each day. I have been neglecting doing much packing lately because first I was just working on finishing those fifty dreamcatchers and then I needed to just relax for a bit before diving into something else because I was feeling a bit 'unsettled' about the whole moving process.
Now I just have to stay focused on doing whatever I can each day and keep checking things off my list of stuff to do as I continue looking at my options and figuring things out in regards to where I am moving to.
As I have stated before I really want to preserve as much 'continuity of lifestyle' as possible with the next place but I also do not exactly want to repeat how rough of a time that I had here when I first started off with getting things setup. A lot of those early hardships I can avoid given that I have the gear that I have now especially since my solar power rig and spring water rig is pretty plug and play at this point or will be once I dismantle them from where they are currently installed.
All things considered I am in pretty good shape for moving forward and will definitely have some stuff done before I move that will make things a bit easier like building that 'cube' to house all my solar charge controllers and packing things in such a way that everything that I need in the beginning will be easy to find.
All in all I think it is pretty liberating knowing that I can create all my own infrastructure at a place with what I currently have and am pretty psyched at this point to just get on with it so that I can get back to pursuing my homesteading dreams each day.
Learning a new property is always an enjoyable experience for me as well so I am also excited/intrigued to see what unfolds in that regard because each place is different and I always tend to learn new things even if it is just what plants and fungi grow there but usually it is much more and my curiosity always gets my gears turning in such a way that I find it all quite exciting and even exhilarating.
On a different note it is looking like it is going to be another beautiful day so I am going to keep this short and sweet and see what the day brings.
