Voces del Reggae. Junior Braithwaite
Junior Braithwaite
Reggae music has left an interesting story to talk about, and that is that many have been the anecdotes and details that are often hidden or left behind by the effect of the market, you may wonder why I say this, because through my research I have been able to find a talent that would have been one of the legends of reggae along with Bob Marley. Such is the case of Junior Braithwaite who was the singer and one of the creators of The Wailers
His first name is Franklin Delano Alexander Braithwaite but he was known as Junior Braithwaite, born in Kingston on April 4, 1949, grew up with Marley in the same neighborhood, Braithwaite developed an enviable voice during the rehearsals "tenor", calling the attention of Bob Marley who allowed Junior to be the singer of "Habits" and "Straight and Narrow Way",. Marley showed a lot of respect for Junior by calling him a high level singer in the style of the Jackson Five.
Braithwaite, only lasted a short time in music and therefore in The Wailers, leaving the band in 1964 to continue with his medical career in the United States, After 20 tries to return to the world of reggae in the reunion of The Wailers but the death Peter Tosh truncated the plans for that project.
Here is a video to remember a success "Don't ever leave me" that could mark the path of a legend in reggae.
