Prepping for Taiwan - Hiking stuff
My friend in Taiwan has invited me to go several hours hiking on my first day.
"All good" I said.
Have you got hiking boots? Nope. I normally hike in my runners.
You need good hiking boots. Something waterproof! Where we are going it can get wet and muddy.
Ok.
Make sure you have good socks. Make sure that your foot doesn't slide in the shoe.
Ok.
Now, this guy is a very focused and organised person.
I respect him very much and he has been a good friend for many years.
Last year, he drove me way out of town to try to see some fireflies. Only to be denied by the perfect skies and Full Moon.
But he did this after a long day at work and at 10.30pm at night! I have a great respect for him.
So, being a Mongrel myself, I've gone for some Aussie hiking boots. Some bamboo socks & even some Liner socks just in case.
Are you doing anything the night before? (The day I arrive).
Nope.
Then after you go to the hotel and come to meet us in the city for dinner and a foot massage.
Ok.
And after the hike, if you are not too tired. We will go to see a waterfall!
Ok.
