"S" stands for Storytime. Ledger Nano S.
So, having crypto is great and all, but what good is it if you don't have them anymore?
Not great. Probably.
"Do not keep your cryptos on exchanges...", "...exchanges own your private keys", "mt.gox.." etc.
You've all heard the warnings.
Within a day or two of my crypto-adventures, I was already freaked out.
What did you do, jagrs? And, does it have anything to do with that picture up above?
That is my Ledger Nano S. Patiently waiting to protect my ass..sets. Ordered from LedgerWallet and with the highest possible shipping method (took only 3-4 days to arrive).
Okay. But, isn't it difficult to set up and what if you lose your password?
Get out of my head! My exact thoughts!
But, you know what, it wasn't that difficult.
Just write down your password or use a password manager to keep that stuff in order! You shouldn't have a problem then.
Can we see it?
Sure.
uh..outside of the box pls?
Okay.
So, setup was a breeze. I just plugged it in...set a pin...got a bunch of recovery words and wrote them down on a sheet provided by Ledger (for the purpose of restoring my account with another ledger or if I forgot my pin - but I ain't forgetting). My desk is made of wood - I'm knocking on it, for the record.
OK. So, that was easy. Now the difficulty is going to ramp up. Sending your tokens, altcoins, bitcoin, ether, etc. To wallets that use the ledger.
Seriously? How long is this post going to be?
Oh...well. Ok, I guess I can leave that post for another day.
I hope you enjoyed my Ledger story. More importantly, I hope my writing was ledgeable for you folks!
Wasn't really a story.
If any of you want your own Ledger, you can order it from Amazon, just make sure you are getting a ledge-it Ledger. Sorry. For real, make sure your getting a legit Ledger.
Or...you could order it directly from the LedgerWallet people!

P.S. I'm not used to doing this marketing-referral thing, but I think I'm doing it well.
Look! Here's a fancy picture (I think you can click on this thing too):
I'm out! Till next time!
