Protecting the Apple Crop: A Day in the Orchard

Image cover

We recently visited one of our orchards to spray pesticides. The orchard is located on a hillside, and from there, you can enjoy a stunning view of the entire surrounding area. Besides apple trees, a variety of beautiful flowers are also in bloom, adding to the charm of the place.

Apple cultivation requires constant care and attention to protect the trees from diseases that can damage the fruit. That is why regular spraying is essential. Usually, there is a gap of about fifteen to twenty days between spray applications. It is a labor-intensive task, but it is necessary to ensure a healthy and productive crop.

At this stage of the season, the apples have reached a point where no negligence can be afforded. All the hard work invested so far must be protected, as there is now a lot at stake. Timely care and proper management are crucial to achieving a good harvest. Fortunately, only a few more sprays will be needed, as changing weather conditions in the coming weeks will significantly reduce the risk of many diseases. Until then, staying alert and taking preventive measures remains extremely important.

As part of this work, we visited the orchard and carried out the spray operation. While there, I also captured some videos of the blooming flowers and developing apples. I am sharing them with you so that you can get a glimpse of how apples are grown in our region and what our beautiful orchards look like.
