The diary game.Diary of 01-05-2024. Accessing the landslide prone areas to be well prepared for any exigency.

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

Doing what I have been doing right from a few years now, I got up early in the morning at around 5:30 AM and without holding myself back in the warmth of the bed, I got out and went to perform the ablution after which I offered the morning Prayers in the mosque. I started my day with some positive energy, and bowing down in prostration and paying gratitude to almighty is always something that helps me to overcome my challenges and fulfil the day-to-day tasks with ease. Upon returning from the mosque, I went to have some more sleep and today again, I couldn’t go for a walk or do any work out because of the cold and I was quick to get back to the bed. I got up at 9 AM.

Today again, we had been given a task of going to the villages and knowing about the threats and the dangers that the continuous rainfall posed to the life and property in many of our villages that already are prone to landslides. The areas being hilly have been quite susceptible, and because of some severe incidents that happened in the past, compelled the authorities to be on their toes and be ready in any case kind of exigency.

Reaching to the far off areas was quite a challenge for us, but still, we couldn’t deny or hesitate because we have been in this service for a good enough time now. Along with my other colleagues, I went to different parts of our block to find out the susceptable areas which are likely to slip away if the rain continues, and we also estimated the losses that have occurred till now. Fortunately, for us, the areas we were in today, have experienced very little damage due to the rainfall. Upon returning home, I was quite fascinated by a view when I was on the top of a hill covering my village. I took some photographs and spent some time over there to enjoy the view to its fullest.

Upon reaching home, I helped my mom with cleaning the green leafy vegetables which she would dry up in the sun to be later used in the winters. It has been a tradition over here in Kashmir, perhaps because of the compulsion due to harsh winters when the area gets cut off from the rest of the valley, we need to use the dried up vegetables.

Later, I went to see my cousin who is very fond of vehicles, and I was surprised to see him sitting on a Tractor. It is only thing that pacifies him and makes him happy.
Now, as I am going to bed, I first try to make an account of what I did today and share it with you all.
