Hello chess fans, I dedicate today's self-created chess problem to the most frequently neglected phase of the game, the endgame.
Many aspiring young chess players spend a lot of time learning openings or solving tactical problems by spotting furious mate attacks, while they pay little attention to the seemingly boring endgame. For this very reason, the difference between a talented club player and an experienced master often only becomes apparent in the final phase of the game.
So that you, the readers of my blog, can look forward to future endgames with confidence, I'll let you practice a little today. Your aim is to win with black.

Hallo Schachfans, das heutige, selbst erstellte Schachproblem widme ich der am häufigsten vernachlässigten Partiephase, dem Endspiel.
Viele aufstrebende junge Schachspieler verbringen viel Zeit damit, Eröffnungen zu lernen oder in furiosen Mattangriffen endende Taktikaufgaben zu lösen, während sie dem scheinbar langweiligen Endspiel kaum Beachtung schenken. Gerade deshalb zeigt sich der Unterschied zwischen talentiertem Vereinsspieler und erfahrenem Meister häufig erst in der letzten Partiephase.
Damit ihr, die Leser meines Blogs, zukünftigen Endspielen zuversichtlich entgegensehen könnt, lasse ich euch heute ein wenig üben. Euer Ziel ist es, mit Schwarz zu gewinnen.

In this endgame problem I would advance the rook pawn to the eight rows for a queen.
Well spotted, but what do you play after:
I would play Bd4 then; thus the diagonal d4-a1 will be blocked with a pawn or a piece and enables the pawn on a3 to promote.;
2....Bd4 3. Nxd4 a2 -+

Oh ja! Ich liebe es! I'm loving it! Reminds me on this problem and the corresponding chats in the comments at @eniolw's blog. Unfortunately I don't see that I have time here and now to look into it more. Fun! Hope to read at least the comments here soon.

Hello greetings. English is not my native language.
I really liked this chess puzzle.
I also learned something new, the FEN. I am an amateur player. Your problem is a headache for me.
I really think Black needs a miracle to win.
If the white bishop reaches the large black diagonal. Very little can do the black side
I will keep trying to solve your puzzle.
If I can't solve it. Where can I see the answer?
