Isn't it a shame that I, as the founder, haven't contributed a single post to my own "Fascinating Insects community" yet? I'll try to make the excuse that there aren't that many insects crawling and flying around outside during the German winter, but anyway, today is the day, and I finally got around to condensing some arthropod photos taken in the last days and weeks into a post.
I really hope you like the pictures!

Ist es nicht eine Schande, dass ich als Gründer bisher noch keinen einzigen Post zu meiner eigenen "Fascinating Insects-Community" beisteuerte? Ich versuche mich mal damit herauszureden, dass im deutschen Winter nun mal nicht allzu viele Insekten draußen herumkrabbeln und -fliegen, aber wie dem auch sei, heute ist es soweit, und ich kam endlich dazu, ein paar in den letzten Tagen und Wochen aufgenommene Arthropoden-Fotos zu einem Post zu verdichten.
Ich hoffe, euch gefallen die Bilder!

Jetzt im Frühling kann man wieder viele interessante
Dinge und Tiere entdecken.
Das große Krabbeln der Käfer fängt wieder an. :)

I'm a bit slow catching up on here. Love the close ups of bugs ("INSECTS! As there are actual bugs"... my professor would be crossing his fingers at me right about now. just like in 'dirt', as my boss in the soils department of work would say years later... "Dirt, is mis-placed soil." ) I wander off, somewhere or another there...
Your great macro photography really sheds a new light on the things that slither and wander by our world. They are everywhere, and such efficient little creatures, and close up, look rather scary. I'd hate to be another bug, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing what is out the back door with us. They are fascinating for sure. Cheers on a Wednesday
