Why Bitcoin is Superior to ALL of the Traditional Financial Systems

The below video, a documentary that aired on the Discovery Channel, makes a convincing case for why bitcoin outclasses fiat and why it may soon replace all prior financial mechanisms used for loaning, investing, insurance, charities, escrows, betting, and more.

It can help to be reminded of why we early adopters of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies got into the mix to begin with, especially in times like these when national "talking heads" are trying to assure us that this "crypto craze" will come to a disastrous ending akin to the tulip mania of 1636-1637.

I beg to differ. I'm convinced that the money revolution has only just begun :)

Sort:

The future of money is certainly decentralised!

It has to be, now that it's been released upon the world. The genie is out of the bottle and he ain't going back in!

I believe that in the future everything will be digital and fast.
Almost all money will be digital like cryptocurrencies. If we were to live that day it will like be a different world and we will utter "wow"

I agree and I think it's going to transition into that type of a world very quickly.

There have been so many revolutions. Smart people say, learn from history. How many of those revolutions ended up well for simple people? You are right, none. Block Chain is amazing technology, it's paradigm shift. But distribution of wealth is not going to change. Why should it?

Nature is as nature does. Just like IQs follow a patterned distribution, so do all human actions. People may or may not have true free will, that I'm not sure of, but it certainly appears as if the collective of humanity is ruled by determinism.

The only factor I can come up with that would make free willed individuals behave so consistently this way is our tendency towards conformity (I see this as lack of courage). Or maybe most people are just too stupid to connect the dots? I don't know, but it seems to me that the majority are certainly devastatingly biased and stubborn, at the very least.

I'm fairly certain that it's unnecessary to explain how fighting reality is a self-defeating game. Yet, humans seem to gravitate towards it over all others.

I could not agree more. Humans are very egocentric individuals despite their contradicting declarations. They are social beings to a point where it it beneficial for them, but the moment such motivation disappears as the conditions change they flip instantly.

I am also very amused by another trait most human beings posses is wishful thinking. One moment they might believe in some truth and believe it sincerely and the other moment they can fight for totally contradicting values and beliefs from all their heart.

So they are fiercely "fighting" in a name of revolution but when the coin flips they instantly turn for personal benefit. On those who led the revolution become the ones they were fighting as greed kicks in and changes behavior to fulfilling self interest orientated demands.

So there might be a revolution, but on the grand scale nothing will change as people are hypocrites. Certain procedures might change, they way we live our daily lives, but these have been changing continuously in an increased rate. But wealth distribution and concentration of power remained pretty much the same through the whole mankind history. So let's embrace new technology, benefit and profit from it but let's not be delusional that this will bring new world order, equality and peace to the world.

power to the people! its time to end the corruption, destructions, and crooked people and systems already!
