Reinvent yourself in a time of pandemic
However, others evaluated the possibility of reinventing themselves in order to continue operating and keep their doors open.
Items and businesses that reinvented themselves
Among the three main items that were reinvented are: food, clothing, appliances, electronics and computers, education and training.
Food (Restaurant, Soda Fountains, among others)
Businesses in this area were one of the most affected during this crisis, due to the measures provided regarding the social distancing caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Many of these businesses in search of maintaining their activities and obtaining income, offered home delivery and take away services, as well as adapted and updated their platforms and social networks to promote these services to their customers.
All this due to the impossibility of moving clients to the facilities, in many cases inclusive delivery services were offered at no cost due to the high offer of this type of services.
Clothing, Appliances and Informatics
Like the previous item, merchants in search of an exit or an alternative during the coronavirus, focused on increasing and reinforcing their technological marketing, through social networks and other means. Likewise, in this race to continue selling, they reinvented themselves offering online sales as alternatives to continue obtaining income. However, in many cases the delivery of the products was affected by the high number of orders and there were delays in the delivery of the same, causing massive customer complaints.
Education and Training
Another item was education, many institutes and academies found as an interim solution to offer online classes to their students.
However, this option meets obstacles such as: absence of necessary technological equipment (PC, web camera, microphone) and internet connection.
However, the difference in the schedule of teachers and students, depending on the geographical location of both, can be a very important obstacle to consider.
Reflections by way of Conclusion
In times of crisis, entrepreneurs, merchants and business people are forced to reinvent themselves in their organizations to keep generating income, and thus be able to cover part of the commitments and obligations contracted.
How would you reinvent yourself?

the word to internalize is "adaptation" this year we change the rules of the game and to get ahead we have to adapt
Hi @jobs of the century
Certainly, "adaptation" is the premise for the rest of 2020 and I dare say for a good while longer. Thank you for commenting
In the aspect of the "Education and Training" it has really been able to do that just that it was limited for some people if not having the resources needed to go on of the education and training during this pandemic
Hi @mandate
That's right! As it is, thank you for commenting
Reinvention is an amazing way to grow a business and make it appear different from the norm everywhere, the pandemic has opened our eyes to so many things that we must take advantage of, amazing post you have here.
Hi @oluwatobiloba
Thank you very much for your comment, so encouraging.
This trying times call for a period of deep reflection on the way to make ourselves build a stronger force and achieve better things, we now know that we cannot depend on one source of income.
Hi @ajewa
Certainly, that is why many economists speak of "war" economics, although the term is not really the most appropriate.
