PRAYER IS NEVER A LAST RESORT

Prayer is one of the live wires of the Christian faith. If you seek to enjoy the wonderful transmission of divine currents of God’s grace and goodness, you will have to learn to stay connected with God through prayers. Prayer moves the hands that move the world. If you truly seek for the tide to blow in your favor, you will have to lay hold on God through prayers.

In a world where the devil is up and doing, working to strip men of the very nature of God in man; you cannot afford to rest on your oars. Scriptures demand that we pray. A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian any day. What a joy you have in God, to go about any matter, knowing fully well that that you have settled it with God in prayer. Anything for which heaven has taken custody, in a life style of prayer; is something the devil cannot rejoice over.

Prayer is the first and most effective line of attack against the wiles of the enemy. There are those who begin on their own, who get stuck and they revert to prayer. They tell you that the only thing left to do is prayer. No! It ought not to be so. It is hazardous going on your own; because, you are not on your own and you are not sufficient of yourself to think of anything as of yourself.

Our sufficiency is of God. You are not only to begin with prayer; Romans 12:12 admonishes us to “continue instant in prayer”. Prayer remains the master Key: Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer. If you claim to have gone far without conscious and dedicated praying; where did you get the key from? You’ll soon discover that it’s all of God and you cannot do without a prayer connection to Him.

Those who make prayer a last resort, battle on several fronts. They have their situation to battle with on one hand, and the tentacles of the devil in their lives on the other. Before the devil ever gets a grip over your situation, he first of all goes after your prayer life. He works to have a grip over your situation as he seeks to incapacitate your prayer life.

In an effective prayer lifestyle, you become too hot for the devil. No matter how he tries, failure waits to greet him. There is no better way to make the devil a past tense in your life as much as an addiction to prayer.
