WITHOUT GOD YOU CAN DO NOTHING.

Even if you go and fight courageously in battle,
God will overthrow you before the enemy,
for God has the power to help or to overthrow.”
2 Chronicles 25:8(NIV)

As a child of God; you can never be too strong on your own without God. In Him we live and move and have our being in us. Our text passage 2 Chronicles 25:8 is an account of how Ahaziah the king of Judah had the option of either obeying God and see God undertake for him or disobey God and face an impending battle alone with God. if he was going to insist on the path he had carved out for himself, which God warned him against; he was told by God’s prophet – “be strong for the battle”:

But how strong can a man be without God? God’s input in your favor in any conflict is what you need to put you over. It is not a matter of your physic or how calculative you can be; Salvation is of the Lord. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength” (Psalm 33:16-17). “The horse is prepared against the day of battle but safety is of the LORD” (Proverbs 21:31).

No matter how clear you feel your case is, no matter how obvious your chances are; you need God to put you over. The Psalmist proclaimed in Psalm 18:29 – “for by Thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall”. It’s all by God and the help He gives; for without Him, we can do nothing. Facing any battle without God is actually seeking to embark on a suicide mission. Joshua and the people of Israel felt that Ai was going to be a walk over in battle; they felt it was something they didn’t need to consult God about. Going without God turned out to be a suicide mission for the soldiers that went.

Friends! We are nothing in ourselves and we are not sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as of ourselves; our sufficiency is of God. Seeking God’s input and approval for every move you will need to make in life is never a mark of weakness, but a mark of strength. Seeking His input is turning it over to Him and He takes it up with all He His and all He has and you turn out to be the better for it. Are you facing any challenge?

One thing you will need to guide against, is anything that will take God out of it. Guard against a life of sinfulness, stay aligned with the principles of His Word and you shall prevail on every side.
