Vice Governor Opens Dissemination Socialization of PMTB Aceh

Banda Aceh - Vice Governor of Aceh, Ir. Nova Iriansyah MT., Opened Socialization and Coordination of Disaggregation Formation of Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) of Aceh Province, at Hermes Hotel Aceh, (05/04/2018).

Vice Governor Nova in his speech said, the Central Government has prepared a work plan to spur investment and infrastructure for growth and equity. Some of the development priorities that are implemented to realize this is the development of business and tourism.

The Aceh government also has the same priority. Where the investment and tourism sector is expected to be a mainstay to shore up the economy forward, more ahead of the end of the special autonomy fund (Otsus) 2028 later.

To support it, said Vice Mayor, need a strategic step. One is the availability of accurate data used to read opportunities and challenges in the development of investment and tourism sectors.

The Government entrusts BPS to collect data related to Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB). Therefore, in this year BPS will conduct Disagregasi PMTB survey. Respondents are agencies, households and nonprofits serving households and companies.

"The PMTB survey is one of the strategic data sources to identify and map potential physical investments we have," said Vice Governor Nova.

Thus, Nova said, the disaggregation data of PMTB becomes the provision of the government in formulating the right policy. The Government of Aceh will continue to improve the investment climate so that high business competitiveness and workforce are well absorbed.

"The data will be a good reference for mapping the Aceh government's policy forward," said Vice Governor Nova.

Vice Governor requested that all parties support the BPS survey. The principle of building Aceh with data, Nova said, should be applicable throughout the Aceh Government.

Meanwhile, Head of Aceh Statistic Center, Wahyudin, said that the current statistics are always references and guidelines for the government to formulate policies and be used in planning development, both national, regional and sectoral development.

"Statistical data is very important for evaluation, correction and improvement, be it policy, plan, program and of course including budget issued," said Wahyudin.
