Why people fail to be accountable...

As was seen in the previous post, Accountability is needed in various spheres of life, but then sometimes we don't seem to find people who are accountable.

People fail to be accountable for the following reasons ;

☆ Unclear responsibility
This has to do when one does not know or understand his role or job description.

☆ No follow up
When people are not followed in task given to them, they may fail to be accountable.

☆ Poor compensation plan
Compensation has a way of motivating people to work. Once people are not motivated they tend not to perform at their maximum.

☆Dysfunctional Leadership
This could lead to bad strategic decision making, thereby leading to ineffective performance, making a person unaccountable.

We should beware of this factors that makes accountability fails, as Accountability is a very important virtue in our highly competitive world...
