Chicken

Ingredients
fourteen ounces chicken wings
one tablespoon sake
one tablespoon chopped garlic
one and half teaspoons sesame oil
one teaspoon sliced fresh ginger root
half teaspoon salt
half teaspoon dashi
two cups vegetable oil for frying
three tablespoons cornstarch
salt and ground black pepper to your liking
Instructions:
Blend chicken wings, sake, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, dashi, and half teaspoon salt in a large sized dish. Wrap with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator to marinate, at least one hour.
Put cornstarch in a shallow dish. Dip marinated chicken wings in cornstarch and coat both sides.
Fry chicken wings till crispy brown and crunchy on the outside and no longer pink at the bone, ten to fifteen minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt and black pepper before offering.
