The Benefits of Travelling

in #writing6 years ago

NEVER forget to reward yourself after all your hardworks. Don't let your work keep you from living your life because you deserve to relax and enjoy once in a while. I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about. TRAVEL! Yes, travel whenever you can. Or better yet, find time to do it at least once or twice a year. It's good to allocate a certain portion of your savings for travel. Others might say it's not practical and just a waste of money. But nope, they are wrong. Travelling helps you in a lot of ways more than you can imagine. So, I have made a list of its benefits that might encourage you to try travelling if you haven't done it yet.

  1. It keeps you motivated. When you are expecting a travel goal, you become more hardworking because you need to save more money for your travel. When your job gets toxic, it's easier to brush off negativities because you have something exciting to look forward to.

  2. It refreshes your mind and gives you a chance to relax. Your career can get too stressful. When you're at work, you're always thinking about deadlines or maybe impressing your boss to get the promotion you've always wanted to have. But when you are travelling, you're giving yourself a time to take a break and chill.

  3. When you are heartbroken over something or someone, travelling is a very effective remedy. Go to a place where you can totally relax and reflect. It's up to you whether you want to travel to a place where there's a lot of parties to help you forget about your dilemmas or you can go to a more peaceful place that might help you think and clear your mind. Whatever suits you.

  4. It strengthens friendships. Yes, when travelling, bumping into misfortunes or slight inconvenience is inevitable no matter how well-planned your trip was. You'd see the nature of your friends and discover new things about them. Especially on how they deal with not-so-positive situations. You would also be able to bond more with them without thinking about work-related stuff or other factors. You're just there to have fun and nothing else.

  5. It awakens the artistic side in you. Whatever kind of artist you are, going to places can inspire you in your next masterpiece. It helps you get more ideas that can improve your craft. Travelling is one thing most artists do when they run out of ideas and inspirations. Trust me, it's a good remedy.

Some people might think it is expensive. Yeah, it can be expensive depending on the place where you want to go. But it doesn't necessarily have to be expensive especially if you know how to budget your money. Look for airfare promos and when you see a good deal, book right away. Stop overthinking and just book your ticket. You can find ways on how to get an ample amount of pocket money.

Travelling is definitely worth every cent of your money. It will leave you with so many beautiful memories that you'd treasure forever.
