Family Values Of The Blockchain. Not You're Average Mom And Pop Store Operation!
The blockchain is not exactly synonymous with words like easy to use, cheap, safe and convenient, since the narrative in the mass media at the moment appears to be at odds with the budding yet trending industry considering the blockchain has just started to go viral. The buzz on the street when talking about cryptocurrency doesn't exactly fill people's hearts with joy and admiration that create a sense of wanting to run out and get some Blockchain related technology. Who can blame the average new crypto would be Gordon Gekko for feeling nervous about investing capital considering how many people are just now learning about Bitcoin for the first time.
Quit often the tagline for many articles in the media crypto related sound like "Bitcoin just crashed" or "A Bitcoin exchange got hacked" I often hear stories talking about some random terrorist using Bitcoin as a ransom, yet many terrorist demand money as a ransom and we don't stop using fiat. In other random instances a celebrity or a known industry financial analyst sticks their head out from underneath a rock to pontificate about how Bitcoin is a scam that by default is subject to doom to gloom in their humble opinions. Examples in the media of negative feedback when it comes to the blockchain are endless. All anybody really has to do to learn how biased the average article reporting about BTC or the Blockchain actually is would be to pick up a financial journal or watch a news broadcast to see what kind of misperceptions are actually being perpetuated by the media to recognize the kind of up hill battle Bitcoin has had to face since it's conception around 2009.
Big businesses that represent mom-and-pop interests on the greatest scale are lined up around the corner to start testing and implementing blockchain protocols and create new algorithms for their global empires. The kind of companies that are getting in line to roll out blockchain technology are nothing to scoff at either. Companies like Google and Goldman Sachs are said to be two of the most active corporate investors in blockchain technology. 10 companies have agreed to share data and run trials with IBM including Kroger Co, Dole Food Company Inc, McCormick & Company Inc, Golden State Foods Corp, Driscoll’s Inc and Berkshire Hathaway’s McLane Co.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc have also mentioned publicly the company is participating and has worked with IBM since October tracking the movement of food products. Walmart claims that back in June blockchain trials reduce the time it took to track the movement of mangoes from about 7 days to 2.2 seconds (lol) A single recall for any kind of food could cost the company tens of thousands to millions of dollars in lost sales. The motivation as well as the emphasis to utilize blockchain technology could not be any more important than it has become in our times especially given the price of fuel for transporting good and the cost of labor rising fast around the globe.
Blockchain is an underlying protocol behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. The amount of energy being spent on research and development for the blockchain industry is staggering with the promise of a cheaper and faster processes hanging over the head of developers like a transparent dangling carrot. Data firm CB Insights published a report sometime in early October outlining the number of corporate investors in blockchain companies hit a record high of 91, just shy of the 95 Venture Capital firms in the same space.

Bitcoin is a secure network with an open Ledger that is available to be scrutinized as well as audited at any instance. Transparency is paramount in cryptocurrency especially with Bitcoin. The idea of open source decentralized technology is the idea that people have had enough of taking someone else's word for it in business! Corporations need real time solutions that can be tacked so companies can stay on top of game to keep all parties happy and honest with the intention to streamline and save money reducing the costs for shareholders and at the counter for consumers alike where saving a buck counts the most. One thing as a father I know appeals to me is a sense of openness, fairness as well as honesty. All traits I believe the Blockchain and BTC can offer.
There are many factors at play when large corporate entities consider blockchain technology however one of the main benefits for companies who need global solutions for problems such as tracking information and saving time doing it or solutions for saving money with payroll and accounting that could use features like smart contracts or dapps and dags are a great motivation for mega box stores looking to shave pennies of everyday low prices with systems that literally trim the fat and offer nothing but bare bones. Overall the promise that for companies who invest their time and energy now to create solutions for tomorrow's problems is one that will see all who research and develop this new technology today pull ahead of their peers within the industry who are not on the same path to researching and developing blockchain solutions for tomorrow's Marketplace and community.
The kind of businesses that have Mamma's and Poppa's in mind are the kind of businesses that represent Family Values to the fullest, or at least mass marketing would have us believe. Consequently these are kind of companies that are at the forefront of the marketing scheme our world experiences each day and companies such as Walmart and the other giants mentioned in this article are the proof that if the bets are correct the blockchain will become an irremovable force from a corporation's bottom line, a permanent staple among companies looking to have mom's and pop's always "keep coming back"
What do you consider the "Family Values Of The Blockchain" to be? Do the words Blockchain and family values belong in the same sentence? Do you feel the media is fair to Crypto or do think the media could do a better job reporting on the benefit of crypto and BTC in general?
Thanks for taking a second to check out this post and leaving a comment, I always look forward to reading your ideas ;D

I think it's a good thing that the media talks that much about it because every person with a higher intellect knows to not trust the one-sided judgment of the media, but at the same time a lot of those people getting in touch with crypto.
I would just love to hear a story about Bitcoin saving puppy dogs, know what I mean?
This will come with time, I'm sure that the media will recognize some of the amazing social projects that raised thousands of dollars here.
Yes that is true . it also helps to make the steemit and cypto grow big
Family values of the Blockchain should be just as decentralized as the technology. Down with the Patriarch family values that only serves the feudal lords. We are a global family and we should work to decentralize every aspects of life. Blockchain is freedom, and the future. Peace and love!!
I quite agree. The Blockchain can be the missing piece in most of the situations that people normally face in their lives. Understanding how to make it become your friend, I think is the most important thing to pass on to others. For Understanding goes a long way in life.
I'll be curious how it all plays out over the next few years. Glad to have found Steemit relatively early. As a social media platform I'm having a lot of fun, aside from the crypto I'm connecting with cool, positive and creative people from all over the world again!

I enjoy your articles every time man. Thank you
The word media there is subjective. While some media org will praise cryptos, others simply won't.
it all depends on the ideologies of the media house, ownership, staff, etc.
In my own opinion, I think the media has underreported crypto. But I know this will change for the better soon.
Happy New Year
Have a great week man, and a great 2018 as well ;D
Media is the main problem of everything, great post.
I would not call Media the main problem, I would like to see an advertising model with a more conscious driven media, reporting what actually helps people "the real story" not one that helps big tobacco and oil sell more plastic.
Media is very powerful. Anyways, I stand with Bitcoin #teamBitcoin #teamHODL #teamLambo
Yup , we should be working that everyone gets a standard of life where necessities for life are given, and everyone has a equal level to start from
