Dad Says He 'Felt So White' After Walking In On His Daughter Using A Toothbrush In Her Hair

Frank Somerville, an evening news anchor at KTVU in Bay Area, shared a photo of himself with his daughter who was using a toothbrush in her hair and wrote a touching message about how she's made him a better person

I felt so 'white' today

Before we adopted my daughter I would have had NO idea what she was doing with that toothbrush in her hair

But now I know 

I walked into the bathroom today as she was getting ready for soccer and saw this

And without batting an eyelash I said

Callie... how long till you're done with that 'edge tamer' because we have to get going

I just couldn't help but chuckle 

A 60 year old white dude talking about 'edge tamer' with his daughter 

I know I talk about adoption a lot 

Maybe too much at times 

But it's moments like this that I like love 

If it wasn't for my daughter, I would have never heard of things like 'edge tamer

She's helped open my eyes to a whole different world out there 

Because of her, I see things from a different perspective 

And I think that's made me a better person 

I love every minute of it 

Okay not EVERY minute 

But you get what I mean
