Supernatural Grace!!

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Hello everyone, fellow steemians and steemchurch family!! Been a while right? I know! I was a way for a while for my NYSC

meaning National Youth Service Corps(Nigerians will be familiar with this term)
Its a year long activity in a particular state you are posted to were you are required to serve your country in selfless humanity, every graduate in Nigeria is expected to go through this process before one can get a complete curriculum vitae to get a job or get involved in politics because at the end of your service, you get a certificate, bottomline nysc is important.

Before the year long service one has to go for a three weeks orientation camp, so thats where i have been all along i just came back a few weeks back and i have been trying to settle in my place of Primary assignment, were am to serve(happens to be a school, so am going to be teaching English) in asaba, delta state!!
So all of these has kept me from steeming because the use of phones were prohibited majority of the time in camp, only on few occasions are we allowed, when we get our breaks or when in our hostels, so it was hard to try and steem!!

Now am back and the first topic i really wanted to talk about is grace! Trust me it was nothing but God's grace that got me through camp, immediately i got out i got terribly sick, it was a compilation of all the stress i had to go through in camp, was terribly stressful for me, from waking up as early as 3am, going for meditation as early as 4:30am, parades from 6am etc it was a really choking schedule of tiring activities that was repeated every day for three weeks!

2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me

The soldiers and man o war officials made it worse, but i was able to withstand all, i battled the illness, was on bedrest for almost two weeks but at the end am grateful!

God has been faithful i was among the people posted to the capital of the state, which is a town and i get to have access to all the amenities i may need in the course of my one year, alot of people were taken to villages were they had no light, bad network, water issues, flood issues and so on and so forth!it was not by my doing but by the grace of God!

The greater part of us know that grace is unmerited or undeserved favor. I trust this year we will return to the endowment of grace and increase more noteworthy comprehension of God's goodness. Since God's grace is undeserved, this implies God's goodness isn't given to every one of us since we are good; it is given to us since He is good!

Ephesians 4:7
But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

Once in a while it's difficult to try and get our minds over this reality. This is on the grounds that the greater part of us have, trusted that grace depends on being good, our abilities and our religious works. Be that as it may, accepting grace from God has literally nothing to do with what we do by any means; it is totally founded on undeserved favor. Consider this for a moment. If God's favor depended on our capacity to do right and perform well, at that point we would not require His grace, would we? We would then trust that on account of our own capacities we have been honored. This a misleading lie, God gives us grace when we least expect it, it is undeserved and unmerited of us but in God's eyes he has merely blessed his child, though we are not worthy of his gifts!
May God not forget us in our time of need, may he avail himself to us no matter how unworthy we are, his mercy upon us and our faith will lead to his bountiful grace!
Amen!
