The Importance Of Not Taking Life Too Seriously
I loved the comedian Bill Hicks. He has always been in my top 5 of comedians along with people like George Carlin and Doug Stanhope.
His best performance, in my opinion, ended with a great bit called, "It's just a ride". You can see it here:
On my "walk n' talk" with the five crazy dogs today I pondered upon how most people take life way too seriously.
And because they are so busy taking life so seriously they never actually live it.
You can hear more of my thoughts here:
If you find yourself getting worried or stressed out too much over even little things. Or if you are feeling unfulfilled and feel like life is meaningless, I have good and bad news.
Life, generally, is meaningless. But it can have meaning. First though you need to relax and realize it's just a ride. Then, enjoy it.
'Ayahuasca told me' I am here to experience and to feel. It is just an experience. An experience of your choosing.

I watched your interview on youtube. yo the bomb!
Stoicism talks about some of this too. It's amazing what happens when we start realizing that everything in life that happens, happens for our greater good. For our fulfillment or education. Now I know some really bad shit happens some times and it's not explainable, but I think living the way you described still applies. I posted about stoicism a few days ago and there's a link included that takes you to a free ebook by Tim Ferriss who wrote a great book about stoicism. I'll post here if you don't mind.

You are exactly right! Or else it's easy to fall into nihilism at some point.
I couldn't agree more with the statement about how life is generally meaningless, however ultimately it is up to us to create a meaningful life! Simply Brilliant Jeff!
There are many roads up the same mountain. We all get to the peak, but each in our own way.
That's the best way to live life. This is what Buddhism taught me.
