Blue Mountains Australia

Located in New South Wales, Australia, the Blue Mountains rocky range was made World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 2000.

The name Blue Mountains was derived from the blue haze the range takes on when viewed from a distance due to the high concentration of volatile particles emanating from the abundant eucalyptus trees.
