May 22 ,2020--Practice Blog in the time of the virus
A normal day. It began with a bit of a sleep in until 9 am. Got up and had breakfast and then practiced piano for a couple of hours. My wife wanted to go to a restaurant for lunch, a Greek place called Opa Time. They had outdoor tables set up, so we ate there. Went to a hardware store to pick up some painting supplies. They dropped wife off at work and went to the church to practice. Got in a couple of hours before coming home. Filled the Water Softener with salt and went to pick up my wife. Dinner was chicken legs and brussel Sprouts. Getting ready for bed.
On the piano, I worked on four separate Songs without Words by Mendelssohn, a couple of pieces by Schumann, and two Mazurkas by Chopin. Trying to memorize them all. They all are pretty close with the exception of Chopin's Op. 7 no. 2.
On the organ, I worked on two chorale preludes by Kauffmann, BWV 630 by Bach and recorded it for the Secrets of Organ Playing Contest:

I also worked on pieces i have learned in the past couple weeks, primarily Couperin's first two Kyries from Mass for the Convents, Alain's Variations sur un theme Clement Janequin, and Tim Knight's Plaint from Three Short Organ pieces, set two.
