So, I wanted to follow up with the responses I have received so far. The team members have responded in an awesome way.

How did you get involved in the Digibyte Awareness Team?
I started it. Or rather that’s an oversimplification. I started general marketing for DigiByte through DigiByteWhite which is explained here : Community Marketing

This later evolved into DGBAT as I had community members offer to work with me and help me produce content!

How did you qualify to be on the Team?
I am a scientist by training and am doing a master’s degree. My speciality is biology/chemistry (cellular, molecular and physiology). Will be doing a master’s degree to further my career in science. I was introduced to crypto rather late and through reasoning and just reading some code and talking to devs I came to the conclusion that DGB is the best coin out there. Just love the team, love the foundation and their methods and see a bright future. What qualifies my to be on DGBAT is well that I have the motivation and am willing to put in the effort of bringing DGB to the forefront of FinTech.

So far I’ve been commended on my efforts for marketing and hope to continue to produce useful content. I am a rather analytic person, by personality and training so all that I work on will be of the utmost quality. I hope you the public are satisfied with my work and the team’s work!

For new members aspiring to join, we need you to present a clean and well though out idea. We can help make it happen but again we have to be efficient so if you are willing to put in the effort then welcome to the team!

What is DGBAT's target audience?

The goals of DGBAT are to spread awareness and have people recognise the potential of DGB - we target both those in crypto and out. We know that DGB can have a positive impact on peoples lives, whether they live in first world countries or developing nations.

What are the goals of the DGBAT?

We hope to finish this SEC overview as it is taking us most of our time and all our funds for the time being. Then we will move on to media production, and education which is especially important for introducing new people to crypto and well DGB!

Is DGBAT funded? If so, then how does it receive it's funding?

DGBAT is funded yes. In the beginning by my own wallet, then with help of our DGBAT members. And as of late we’ve set up a general fund to which people can donate! Funding is received by donation through the DGB blockchain. We’ve recently partnered with CryptoBantam, who’s generously offered to donate a portion of all revenue that comes by our referrals to the DGBAT fund! Is this a paid position.

Paid position! Haha unfortunately no! I am a student so I have to study, work, and help the DGBA Team all at once! I have the energy for it so I don’t mind. I would to have a paid position from DGBAT but we just don’t have the funds to pay myself or others. So far the only expenditure taken for the DGBAT general fund has been to initiate this SEC overview with help from a lawyer.

All other actions have been paid by either myself and other members. For example we’re setting up a DGBAT website, generously set up by one of our members.

If you’d like to know anything else about us please let us know. We’re open and transparent same as the foundation we aspire to copy.

You asked if DGBAT has a press release medium, well we’re working on the website. And things like this will come over time and with more funding. Marketing in general is a very time consuming and very expensive endeavour, but we always try to be as efficient as possible and to do things for the cheap!

My name is Rudy Bouwman.
I'm from The Netherlands and 51 years young.
Married 26 years, and have 2 children: Son 21 and Daughter 18.

I am a Director and shareholder at computer maintenance company, We're performing hardware and software support on multi-vendor IT platforms in Europe.
Because of my interest in Blockchain technology, I got informed about DigiByte. I got in touch with Dereck and some others on twitter and we decided to form a DigiByte Awareness team. I volunteer and contribute my free time to create DigiByte awareness and encourage adoption, just like all other members. No one gets paid for it.
We even pay for some projects ourself without asking the community.
The goal of the team is to speak and teach about DigiByte, to reach out to exchanges and companies and to try to get attention from different media platforms and influencers. In short: create awareness and encourage adoption.

The problem we are facing is funding. Exchanges and media producers are all asking money. Also for other things like the legal opinion we need money. Although people are very generous, it's still not enough and unfortunately we are no 'whales', and money that members are spending from their own pocket is of course limited.
Nevertheless we will not get discouraged by this and keep doing what we're doing. We're very happy that there are people that understand this and support what we are doing, like Daniel Skowronski from DX.Exchange. We got listed without having to pay anything.
