Let’s take a stroll down my memory lane

I hope y’all are doing amazing. It’s been a while I engaged you. Today I want to share with you a memory from last year December. A team of 10 individuals including me was sent to a village in the upper east region. Our mission there was to stay with them for 2 months and collect data, this data included the needs of the community, and then draw a budget for it.

So basically what we did was after we arrived at Yagzori which is located in the upper east region, we rested the first day. And started work on the next so we went house by house to collect data like how many people lived in that house, number of house holds, do they have toilet and bathroom facilities and many more. We did that for 250 houses. We took pictures with some of the houses we went to.

We took 5 weeks to collect the data, we were ahead of schedule. The next we needed to do is to collect data from the schools. So we went to Yagzori senior high. At the time of our visit, the headmaster has traveled so we spoke to the acting - headmaster (Mr Mohammed).

We couldn’t just leave like that he offered for us to least engage the students before we leave since we have already passed that stage we might have one or two advice we would like to share or teach them. So shred the classes two per 1 and we taught them.

The last thing we needed to do was to call for a community forum where we will get to know the general needs of the community. The result of the community forum was they needed a good road network and a computer lab for the school. So we went back to our houses prepared the budget for a computer laboratory which sum up to GHC105,863. This equivalence to 48,634 steem.

It was time to present our data to our supervisor for review, the presentation took about 1hr. And they were really impressed with the way we did our job. We took a lot of pics after presentation let me share one of them with you.
