Focus on that rather than jealous squabble.

Your followers don't want to see you get involved in arguments with trolls as frustrating as it is. His goal is to make you look bad. Don't let him win. We'll downvote him when he posts something negative on your blog. If you ignore him, he'll go away and annoy someone else. Trust me.

Take it from me, don't feed the troll. Remember, he's jealous of your TA skills - that's what it comes down to. He knows it, I know it, your followers know it.
