Last week I was hired as an interpreter by my colleagues. They will go for an eye examination. I will be together with them to interpret. I'd been helping interpreting in the factory for some Filipinos but this time is unique because it's another field. This is a big test on my Japanese skills and this is exciting. We went to Sato- Megane the name of the eye store.

I introduced myself as an interpreter and the eye check-up follows. The eye tests in Japan are different. They use the C shape with different sizes and you will state or point your finger to what direction does the cut is facing.

The eye examination took about 45 minutes and I guided 3 persons. After, they have to choose the frame and try and fit it. The three of them chose the special eyeglasses which are good for near and far sights. It cost 15,000 yen and the glass will be claimed after a week. Before we say goodbye the optometrist gives ways on how to care our eyes.
