People of Phnom Penh - Anything That Can Be Dragged : Can Be Sold! 🐴

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Here in Cambodia there is a thriving industrious community. Salespeople will drive or pull their wares around. Some of these vehicles are so wonderful to look at since yesterday I have started carrying a device so I can share some of these great entrepreneurial vehicles in Phnom Penh with the Steemit community.

Carrying a device is a strange and odd thing for me!

It is really important for me to pay for the pictures I take and it is my intention to do so, with love and gratitude as much as possible! 😉

In the most ancient of traditions commerce relies of facilitating getting the right goods and services into the hands of your customers. This is how it's done Phnom Penh style:

My friend buying these hard round fruits that had to be crakced open with a wooden mallet. There are amazing fruits here in Cambodia. I have not identified this one but it tasted a little like under ripe guava. Any help identifying this will be UPvoted! 😉

To reiterate, I believe it is very important for me to pay for the pictures I take and it is my intention to do so, with love and gratitude as much as possible! 😉

@jockey,

Dude! If you get a chance, give my warmest regards to Sansana Khieu - ex-model and tv personality on the Cambodian Television Network.

Warning: She will either slap you for knowing me, or her and her very well connected husband will take you out to dinner - maybe.

Roll the dice...

Namaste,

JaiChai

people doing their best to earn a living in the best way possible, awesome shots, careful the stick doesnt land on you

I agree, that's actually a very nice part of their culture. Doesn't seem like there is many things I would need to be honest, but there is definitely something to be found :P In other, Western countries you would have probably get fined twice already for open-market on streets though lol.
