# *What is Mushroom?*

1. There is no chlorophyll.
2. consists of filaments or branching threads called hyphae.
3. Hyphagic threads assemble to form a woven mass or clot called mycelium.

# *How to find Mushroom?*

---

Beauveria bassiana fungus is a microscopic fungus with a body of fine thread (hypha). Then the hyphae formed a colony called mycelia. This fungus can not produce its own food, therefore it is parasitic to its host insects.
Entomopathogenic fungus, B. bassiana can be obtained from soil especially on top (soil) 5 - 15 cm from the surface of the soil, because on this horizon there are many inoculums of B. bassiana. Technique for obtaining entomopathogenic fungi, B. bassiana from soil is by insect bait method B. Bassiana fungus can survive in soil as weak competitor and heterogenously distributed so that it can be isolated from soil samples at 5 - 15 cm depth .
B. bassiana mushroom isolates were taken from the soil. The soil of isolate origin was taken randomly around the banana plantation. The soil is taken by digging it at a depth of 5-10 cm each of 4 x 500 g then put into a plastic bag labeled as the location and date of sampling. The soil is then sieved with a 600 mesh sieve and fed into a 13 x 13 x 10 cm plastic box each of 400 g (each area uses 4 boxes). T. larva larvae of newly injected 3-instar instar larvae of the skin (the skin is still white) were inserted into a box containing 10 pieces of soil each, as a bait trap to attack the B. bassiana fungus (insect bait methode). The larvae are then covered with a thin layer of soil and moistened by spraying a sterile aquadest on top of it. Furthermore, the box is covered with pieces of black cloth size 25 x 25 cm which has also been moisturized. The suspected T. molitor larvae of B. bassiana fungus observed 3 days after treatment were observed daily and immediately after the B. bassiana fungus was isolated as a source of isolates.

Some Mushroom also can be used in making fried noodle.
