Acehnese has been familiar with Lumang Trieng. But for non-Acehnese, this term is still new and enough to make them dizzy. Ok, Lumang Trieng as a kind of Acehnese traditional food mostly can be found during "Meugang" ( An Acehnese Tradition). There are three times of Meugang in one year; Meugang puasa, and both Hari raya. During these times, Lumang Trieng are scattered at the bazaar. That are sold with various prices.
Of course, there are many tactics in consuming Lumang Trieng. Actually, Lumang Trieng can be consumed directly. But for the perfect taste of Lumang Trieng, it is suggested to mix with another composition, such as; sugar, asoe kaya, and even with boeh drien.
If you want to taste Lumang Trieng, just wait at least one month later, because the first Meugang will come and you can find Lumang Trieng promoted at Pasai.
