Why I Quit DTube... But I'm Back
Quick little rage video about Dtube and what I think the main obstacles are... Namely a better site and a simpler transition from other platforms. Let me know if you agree, disagree, or absolutely hate me :D
WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR ALL THIS JUST TO UPLOAD A VIDEO?!?!?!? GET ME OOOOOUUUUUUUUTTTTT.... But really just give me money :)

Hi, you're right man
The magic word is SIMPLICITY
We have some apps now like Partiko or Appics, easy to understand, simple to use and with a quite beautiful optic.
We are definitely on the right way and for the future developments the Devs should always concentrate on Simplicity.
Have a great day and very nice to see you back on Dtube.

LOL. You're 100% right on DLive - easy but worthless.
This is actually a valuable insight for developers and community builders on here.
Agree!
Enjoyed listening to you guys full rant
90 % of the startup fail and Bitcoin was a experiment that succeeded
Imagine buying 100 Bitcoin in 2011 for just $21
Dtube is also a startup experiment and it has more chance to fail than succeed and if Dtube become something big like YouTube then you can become the next PewDiePie
Just imagine one Venture Capitalists decided to invest with Dtube and it can happen
You just have to do what you love regardless of the platform and when you do that with upcoming platforms like Dtube if that platform explode then you’ll be instant millionaire
Fundraising campaign and invest in development and Marketing, promoting.
Dtube can get a big thing.

You hit the nail on the head with very valuable criticism. hopefully it can turn constructive. For me, as a newbie, what I feel doesn't cut it, is the search NOT functioning.. But, I'm not in it for anything material.. I just want to stick it to the big platforms.. I see it like this, all these little things can easily be fixed.... and when they are.... it's going to TRAP-ROCK ON!!!!
I'll sub you broder...cheers 2Amigo. Peace!
FYI, the new dtube that's in testing right now has the search function totally working. It's going to get better very soon, hang in there. ;)
Thanks for this valuable insight @joeyadrian & @phoenixwinter. We will for sure discuss your video at the upcoming D.tube Forum.

Hey man I just gave you a follow. I enjoy watching parkour videos. Not so much because I want to learn but rather I’m lazy and live vicariously though others doing it. Don’t expect to see me doing anything like that! :)
I do spend a lot of time in the Steem ecosystem though and can understand your sentiments. Fortunately there’s a ton of people working on every aspect of what you just talked about. If you’re interested I’d go over all the cool stuff that’s available or in the works to fix these issues. Instead I’ll leave you two that I think you could benefit from where I take your journey is now.
First is SteemSavvy.com. It’s built to educate people on Steem and how to learn more about the wider ecosystem. I know you said you’re not really interested in digging in but I think it’d be worth a look.
I’d also recommend checking out http://www.sharetosteem.com. It will let you link your Instagram, or other social networks, to cross post to Steem. It’s a fairly easy process but then you continue to use the UI you’re accustomed to. This will also enable you to connect both audiences while monetizing your IG effort.
Happy to see you made it back and will be holding you to seeing more in the future!
Some hard truths there buddy. I agree with you and I think that what you spoke about is the major reason why mass adoption hasn't or perhaps wont happen. :(
Welcome back....hope you have a happy stay this time

I did not even start my internet is too slow. Promoting dtube by using it also doesn't make sens.
Happy day

I'm a big Steem evangelist, but I agree with you 100%. It has a ton of problems, but it also does some incredible things. And when it comes down to it, it's actually the easiest crypto to use. However, that still doesn't cut it, 'cause it's not easy enough. Steem Monsters is a great example of a crypto project where all the dirty stuff takes place in the background. As a user you just click play, that's where every Steem application needs to go.
As far as Dtube goes, just wait for the new upgrade that's currently in testing. I've tried it out and boy does it make a world of difference. I wouldn't say it becomes easier to use, but it definitely becomes useable, not a broken mess.
Yes, those comments that are essentially just begging for money are annoying, but you can tell pretty easily which ones are genuine and which ones aren't. For me personally, I didn't stay on Steem for the money. I'm here for the censorship resistance and the fact that you have one account across all the Steem applications. So if you start using Appics (Steem's version of Instagram) for example just login with your Steem account and boom all your followers from Dtube are there as well. No need to start building up from scratch. I just love that aspect. Money is nice also ofc, but it's a bonus, not a driving factor for me.
To close this rambling out, I know you said you don't want to do your research, but I highly recommend checking this site out that explains the basics in an easy to understand way: http://steemonboarding.com/
Peace, I'm out. :)
