Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5: 7 King James Version (KJV)

The moment we come to know the Lord we are amazed at the forgiveness He extends to us. The simple words of the apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:19 cannot even begin to give an indication of the cost and wonder of the gift of salvation that we have through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus: “That God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not taking men's sins into account ”.

The moment you find the Lord, a glorious transformation occurs. As you find and experience his love and mercy, nothing is more natural than beginning to extend mercy to another. You become a forgiving person. Receive the nature of the Lord himself, because now he is loving and kind. The Bible says, "Freely you have received, freely give" (Matthew 10: 8). In reality, he becomes an extension of the Lord to others, an ambassador of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20).

The merciful then experience the wonderful prosperity of receiving mercy. Not only do they receive this from the Savior who delights in their obedience, but also from those around them as they receive the mercy they extend to others.
