Hello steemians welcome to my blog. In acknowledgment to the achievement task, I will be fulfilling my achievement task 2 being it basic knowledge on steemit security system.

It is advised that any network, association and any economic services should maintain their operations because any key or password is likely to be jeopardized, so it is in this blockchain. Every account has its own password which is the most important thing.

If you eventually risk or reveal it to any third party website, then you will have to have it in mind that your obtained tokens (STEEM, SBD, & SP) will be snatched and you have yourself to be blamed.

Steemit blockchain has 4 different passwords that is been utilized on various operations. Below I will explain how they work.

Posting key:

This is the first key
Posting key is the key that allows you to carry out activities like: Posting, commenting and voting. If you're thinking that you can use this key for monetary actions, then you are making a mistake.

Functions of Posting key

• It is used to publish post and also used for commenting.
• it is used for Editing post and comments
• used to upvote and down vote other publications
• You can also use it follow other account
• use for Muting post.

Active key:

Active key is another valuable key. Its enables you to conduct monetary similar actions on your wallet. It is very important among all other keys. If lost it can't be obtained. You are advised to keep it protected.

Functions of active key

• used to place other in the steem internal market
• Used to power up or powerdown steem
• used to Transfer tokens to other account
• it is also used to Vote for witnesses.

Owner Key:

Owner key has tremendous capacity to the other keys. With owner key, you can desire for another posting and active keys. You can also utilize this key to reclaim your lost account. Below is the important roles of owner key.

Function of Owner key.

• it is uses to recover account
• It is used to reset Active and posting keys
• used to decline voting rights.

Memo key:

Memo key, is used for decrypting and encrypting Private messages. Its functions are just to decrypt and encrypt messages around the blockchain and the key is not applicable

Have you obtain all your keys on steemit? Yes, I obtained it the initial day I joined steemit.

Do you know each of these key functions and regulations? Yes, thanks to my sister @gracellagift with her help and After surveying the four of them I could now tell that I know their functions and how they work.

How do you plan to keep your master password? for me I decide on writing and storing it safely on a document.

Question 4

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account? This is a very decent question,I have understood how to transfer steem tokens, to another account. Let me show you below.

step one
Tour your steem wallet and click on any of the tokens that you want to transfer, it can be SBD or Liquid Steem. Once clicked a drop down menu that has:

Transfer
Transfer to savings
Market
Power up.
Click on transfer and the next step is shown below.

Step two
Once clicked on the transfer a page will popup then there you will fill out the details which are:

The recipient name and
The amount
Then click on send, you will be inquired of your password to complete the transaction. Note; your active key.

Question 5

Do you know how to power up your STEEM? Yes! Below is how you power up your steem

First visit your wallet, just like the previous way now click on power up, once clicked you will be taken to a page where you will be asked to input the number of steem you wish to power up.

As you can see from the image, you will input the amount of liquid steem that you want to power up, after that you can now click on power up button and it will power up.
